The Topology
Everything was created using Maya, Substance Painter, and Arnold.
I wanted to challenge myself by using the sculpting tools directly in Maya for the candle. Since the concepts only allowed me to view the object from one angle, it was quite tricky to create the correct shadows and volumes that resembled the concepts.
This sculpting approach enabled me to experiment and gain a deeper understanding of the retopology process as I transitioned back and forth between the sculpting tools and the retopology tools.
